We would like to share an update on Lincoln Finley aka Lincoln the Brave, who was last year’s Honorary Chair at our second annual ‘Strike Out Pediatric Leukemia’ baseball game. Lincoln was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July 2022 and has been a patient at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, TX.
Lincoln and his family have certainly felt the impact of childhood cancer, and Leukemia Texas was honored to support them with a Patient Aid check and a Travel Buddy suitcase. His mom Ashley says, “Being supported by Leukemia Texas and the ‘Strike Out Pediatric Cancer’ event is a visible and heart filling reminder that we aren’t fighting alone. Even in the hardest of times there is goodness to be found.”
Below is a message from his family with an update on Lincoln.

Linc continues to get weekly chemo pills, IV port chemo every 4 weeks and spinal tap + chemo every 12 weeks. He still has bumps in the road and symptoms to manage when he’s gotten bigger doses of treatment, but we are trying so hard to let him focus on just being a kid!
He’s currently playing basketball! It’s incredible to look back and see how far he’s come from one year ago. He’s still up for any fight his big brother has to offer up and is enjoying showing baby brother the ropes of boyhood (including how to slurp spaghetti noodles!)
We know this journey isn’t over, and he’s endured a lot of hard, but its undeniable that there is MUCH GOODwoven into the threads of his story.
We continue to pray that Lincoln remains in remission for decades and decades to come. We pray that he continues to recover mentally, emotionally, and physically, and spiritually.
Thank you for the continued love, support, and prayers. We are always grateful.
