Live Entertainment by Jason Boland & The Stragglers

Over the last two decades, Jason Boland and the Stragglers have delivered and become both.

“We’ve always just wanted to entertain ourselves and put out music that would be a part of people’s lives, not just something passing to them,” says Boland. “We want to be something more monolithic.” He pauses and grins as he adds, “We’re just a social experiment at this point.”

With their new record Hard Times are Relative, Boland and the Stragglers stack the smart, road-ready outlaw country longtime fans have come to expect alongside creative risks that flirt with punk and psychedelic sounds. The 10-song collection is a rare blend of instantly gratifying and rewarding of closer listens––a definitively Stragglers accomplishment. “It’s an upbeat album––a lot of fast songs, but it doesn’t try to be fast,” Boland says with characteristic insight. “It just sits in the pocket.

EVENT CHAIRS RACHEL LINDSAY & BRYAN ABASOLO

Rachel Lindsay is an attorney, with progressive experience in sports/entertainment, and an American television personality who is best known for her role as a contestant on the twenty-first season of ABC’s “The Bachelor,” and the lead on the thirteenth season of “The Bachelorette”. She is the first African-American lead in the franchise’s history.

She has worked for Stadium, the National Basketball Association, the National Sports Law Institute, Rice University Compliance Department, The University of Texas at Austin’s Media Relations Department, and Capital Sports and Entertainment. She additionally worked in the legal department for the Milwaukee Bucks, Inc.

Rachel recently found love and got engaged to The Bachelorette Season 13 winner, Dr. Bryan Abasolo, who is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic in Florida, California, and Texas, with over ten years of clinical experience. With a passion for a healthy lifestyle and a lean and toned physique, Bryan’s trade name has become “Dr. Abs,” the Lifestyle and Wellness Coach. Dr. Abs’ coaching focuses on lifestyle initiatives to educate his viewers on the benefit of chiropractic adjustments and other natural treatment methods, combined with natural nutritional supplements, and core body training, as a pivotal part of maintaining an overall healthy body.

The couple stays busy, both traveling often, keeping Dallas as their hub. Look to see Bryan in the media and guest appearing on television shows discussing the Dr. Abs core lifestyle on various talk shows including “The Doctors,” while Rachel is an ambassador for the College Football Playoff Foundation, can be seen as a guest host on ESPN’s popular show First Take, and continues to practice law at Cooper and Scully, P.C. in Dallas.

EMCEE JENNY ANCHONDO

Jenny Anchondo is a Emmy-Award-winning news anchor, host and reporter. She has worked for CBS, NBC and Fox at TV stations all over the country.

She is currently based in Dallas and works as a host for the nationally syndicated show, Morning Dose.

Previously, Jenny worked as an anchor and reporter for top-rated Fox 4 news, serving as the single host of the Saturday and Sunday morning broadcasts.

Jenny and her husband Heath are also new parents to 1-year-old Brighton Valentina.

Jenny is a passionate volunteer and community servant. In addition to several philanthropic projects Jenny lends her time to, she has served on the boards for the Housing Crisis Center and Leukemia Texas. As a first generation college student, she is passionate about literacy and education. She has also served as a volunteer for Reading Partners, the Reading Seed and multiple other literacy-based organizations.

Jenny is also a founding member of the national mentoring organization, Mentoring Womens Network and was featured in the book “Landing on my Feet: Learning to Lead Through Mentoring”.
