(January 2020 – Dallas) Leukemia Texas is pleased to announce that Mrs. Karen Pinkstaff, Mr. Billy McBee and Mr. Roger Bissell will be joining the Board of Trustees as of January 2020. The Leukemia Texas Board of Trustees are the governing body who are responsible for overseeing the organization’s activities. “We are delighted to expand our board with three new members who will bring diverse expertise and insight to enhance our mission as we move into our 50th anniversary”, Mandy O’Neill, Chief Executive Officer.

 

Karen Pinkstaff is an audit partner at RSM, primarily focusing on clients in the healthcare and life sciences industries. Karen has served clients for over 18 years in public accounting and was recently featured as a D CEO Magazine roundtable panel member with other healthcare CEOs. Karen has a passion for giving back to her community and is actively involved in the Allen chapter for National Charity League among other local organizations.  Karen also serves on the Advisory Board for the Texas A&M University Accounting Department.

Billy McBee has been in the financial business since 1977. He currently works for RBC Capital markets. He was a past President of Brook Hollow Golf club, The Trans- Miss Golf Association and The Scottish Rite Tartan Classic. Billy and wife Maria enjoy spending time with three grandchildren and traveling to Colorado.

Roger Bissell is a General Manager with Harwood International. From Italy to Chicago to Naples and now Dallas, Roger is known as an internationally acclaimed thought leader on all things food, wine and building award-winning cultures and organizations. Roger is also the founder of UNWINED, a uniquely curated event series and wine club. As someone who is currently battling and beating leukemia, Roger’s passion is to share his story in hopes to inspire and give back. Fun fact, Roger was knighted in Italy for his commitment to the food and wine industry.
